Hi friend! I’m Katie – your friendly, neighborhood day-of wedding coordinator.
After recently making the decision to upgrade and rebrand my small business (with the help of the incredibly talented Jen Seris), I found myself being asked who my “ideal couple” was.
What personality traits did they have? What were their goals? Values? Lifestyle?
One helpful website prompted the question, “If you had to choose one wedding day from your professional career to relive over and over again, which one would it be?”
And while each couple I’ve ever had the honor of celebrating with is fabulous in their own right – my mind immediately went to one particularly-epic pair of newlyweds.
In April 2022, at one of my favorite St. Louis wedding venues, Morgan + Tyler’s stylish soiree was bursting at the seams with love, and immediately stole this hopeless-romantic’s heart.
The bride and groom both exuded pure, authentic joy – and combined with their strong familial-bonds and top-tier bridal party – this celebration also produced many of my all-time favorite photos (thanks to the stunning work of Jacy Overstreet Photography!)
Tyler and his groomsmen had rizz for days while Morgan’s spectacular Bridal Parlour gown literally made my jaw drop. Her father-daughter dance to Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” was also straight out of any sentimental, old soul’s wildest dreams.
After practicing those twirls during her dad’s adorable first look, they ended their performance by miming the iconic, final lyrics to one another.
“iiii… loooove…
Bum, bum, bum – YOU!”
I mean come on… how adorable is that??
In life, and as a business owner, I’ve always hoped to find goofy, kind and authentic souls who believe that no good party is complete without great music, a fabulous outfit and a room full of people who love each other.
To say Morgan + Tyler match that description is a large and obvious understatement.
Every time I look at their photos, I’m reminded of just how grateful I am to have a job where I continuously witness the happiest day of people’s lives.

So, to all of my past, present and future Creedon Rose Events couples – thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing this hopeless romantic to be a small part of your beautiful love story.
Xoxo,
The Girl in the Purple Shoes
